Are you in creator mode or growth mode?
And do you know the difference?
Whenever you looking to level up in your life, it is important to know what mode you are currently in so that you can determine whether it is a good time to shift to meet your goals.
Creator Mode
Creator mode is when you are in a brainstorming, ideation, and creation phase. You are creating content, fine-tuning processes, and geeking out on the latest piece of software to accelerate your ideas. Head down, pursuing the work you love, executing your ideas.
Growth Mode
Growth mode is when you are in an expansion phase through networking, building relationships, and reaching outside of yourself. You are sharing your ideas, broadcasting your knowledge, and making connections with others who can help you with your vision.
Both are important. But it’s important to know when you should be in either Growth or Creator mode.
Depending on where you are in your business or career, recognizing the need to be in either mode is dependent upon what stage you have accomplished.
Determining your mode.
Ask yourself this question:
What is stopping me from moving to the next level? A lack of content or a lack of visibility?
Next, ask yourself:
Have my ideas been researched, vetted, and produced?
Are they ready to start being presented to a larger audience?
Do I have an abundance of ideas put together?
Weigh out your answers to see which ranks higher: No / Yes
If the answer is no, then you need to shift to Creator Mode.
If the answer is yes, then you need to shift to Growth Mode.
If you are ready for Growth Mode, ask yourself:
What fears do I have in putting myself out there?
Are others aware of my capabilities and ideas?
If I do not make myself visible, what is the most likely result?
If I make myself visible, what am deciding for myself?
What strategy should I put in place to make greater connections?
Recognize where you lean.
When you are pursuing your next goal, it is crucial to recognize when you need to be in either mode and to learn to transition between both as necessary. Often times we stay stuck or gravitate towards one type of mode based upon our inherent skills, interests, or need to prove ourselves. This can result in a struggle to achieve the next phase of possibility, as we either start overproducing on content and no one is aware of it, or we are so inspired to share that we don’t have to back up our ideas.
If you get stuck in one mode for too long, you will find the equilibrium of your progress becomes off-balance. Just like a seed needs sun and water to grow, too much of either can kill its growth. This is the same here.😊
Do you tend to get stuck in one of these modes?
